Fri 12 Apr 2019 got link to URL from 23333 purporting to be from someone in my contacts list. Obviously not going to any blind sites. Is this a Phishing expedition? search engine reports it to be a vanity short code for Google. I don’t know anyone at Mountain View and don’t have a Google Photos account.
    That I know of.

my husband has a few of these 4 digit or 5 digit numbers and he had one that said Russ1316. when you go into them there isn’t a phone number or message. When you open it up it has a place where you can take a picture or add a cartoon figure. you can scroll down and it has a place where you can add name, ect. All the way down at the bottom it states that you can scan a business card. At the top It has a place where you can hit on a phone or the message. I can send a message but the phone states that it’s not available. He tells me he doesn’t know what they are or how they got there. Does anyone have a clue???

This short code is used in China as to refer to being happy in text, it is used for sms phishing or sMishing by fraudsters, by Text now for vanity purposes, by Google photos to send photos, as a Google vanity short code and for incognito or cheating reasons. Don’t open their URLs, and send “stop.” on all offended equipment. Report to FCC immediately. Your data is compromised.

what the heck is it? I got a message from 23333 with a link to a pic of a huge cat. Said it was sent by my cousin. I was expecting one of her dog a couple days ago, so, thought it was from her. she’s not answering me, so, it must not be from her! Is this a way of getting my identity! There was a URL, I had to type into Google!
